Remember "DeFrag" on your Win 95/98/ME computers? In Win2000 and XP you get a simple
version of DisKeeper [Defragmenter]. (Nothing came with NT).
Whats "defrag" mean: When files are fragmented (scattered) on your hard drive it must work much harder to
read files. This causes your computer speed to become slower. A "defrag" utility can fix this problem.
When your computer is delivered or the OS installed, the disk is already horribly fragmented and
running very slow. Install the newest service pack and you have a bigger mess. The more you use your computer the worse the
problem gets.
If you choose to get a commercial version of DisKeeper, it will be many
times faster and offer many more features.
There are versions for home users and businesses, all
are very reasonably priced for each catagory.
You can download a trial copy to see what the program can do for you.
We always keep registered copies of DisKeeper on our boxes and recommend that friends and clients
purchase it and use the program on a regular basis.
